When I called Tom to schedule an estimate, he quickly came out later that evening, much faster than I had anticipated. I explained to him that we wanted our living room and dining room floors sanded and finished as well as a set of stairs leading to our downstairs family room and stairs leading upstairs to our bedrooms. We also needed 2 upstairs steps replaced, and stone inlay at our front door removed and replaced with hardwood to match our floor. I felt his estimate was right on the money with my own figures. He won my wife over when he realized that she was pregnant, he told us that he didn't want her around for about a week if we decided on an oil based poly finish. We were more interested in the more natural look of a water based finish anyway, but his concern for her pregnancy was very much appreciated. Tom was very willing to work around my schedule, so 2 weeks later we scheduled a Mon/Tues/Wed to do the work. They arrived on time and quickly got to work all three days. Tom would periodically stop and let me know how the work was progressing, which I appreciated. The work was finished when he said it would be, and our floors looked better than I had imagined when they were done, the wife and I were VERY HAPPY. The crew were very friendly, jovial and knowledgeable of their craft. Each day before they left, they always cleaned up after themselves. Tom even left some leftover finish for future touch ups I can do myself. He took the time to explain the best ways to go about cleaning the floors as well. Best part was the bill, we ended up paying less than Tom's estimate, which made my wife and I VERY HAPPY again. Amazing family team

We just had our old hardwood floors and stairs refinished by Tom and they look good as new! We are so pleased with how they turned out. I was worried about coming home and having to clean dust everywhere but they cleaned up so well there was nothing left behind. Awesome personality, great response time, would highly recommend their work!

I obtained a few estimates for sanding the wood floors in my dining room, living room and a hallway. I went with Tom because his price was fair and he instilled confidence in the way he answered questions.

Tom and his crew arrived on time every day of the three day job, and worked quickly and professionally. They sealed doors with tape and used plastic sheeting to contain the dust from sanding. He seamlessly replaced a few boards that had stains from old water damage. On the second day (after the first coat), I noticed a board that had a few small stains that I knew would end up bugging me (yes, I am a nitpicker). Tom gladly replaced the board for no extra fee.

Despite all kinds of dings, heavy wear and a ton of carpet tacking holes, Tom did a great job. The almost 50 year old floors look brand new. I would recommend him to friends and we will have him back in the fall when we are ready to do a few bedrooms.

Last year when I bought my house I was looking for someone to refinish my hardwood floors before moving in. I asked my family and coworkers for recommendations and several people pointed me toward Tom's Precision floors. I got quotes from three different flooring guys and Tom offered a very competitive price.
